Quick answers about deliveries, subscriptions and produce.

1 What is FarmerMates?

We’re a family farm and a small team of produce mates. We grow and source market-grade fruit and veg from trusted Aussie growers, then chill, pack, and deliver it straight to your door. No middlemen, just fresher food that lasts longer in your fridge.

2 When and Where do you deliver?

We deliver every Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 12pm–5pm. To cut driving and keep produce cold, we group nearby suburbs on set days:

  • Thursday: Hawkesbury & The Hills
  • Friday: Parramatta corridor & Inner North-West
  • Saturday: Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs & Western Suburbs

3 Where is my order?

We deliver on Thursday (Hawkesbury & The Hills), Friday (Parramatta corridor & Inner North-West) and Saturday (Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs & Western Suburbs) between 12-5pm.

Cut-off: order at least 1 day before your area’s delivery day; later orders roll to the following week.

4 Is the produce fresh?

Super fresh. We harvest in the morning, cool it down immediately in our cold room, and pack the same day your box goes out. Everything stays refrigerated in transit so it arrives crisp and happy.

5 Can I place a one off order?

Absolutely! Choose a one-time box at checkout. If you fall in love with it (most people do), you can switch to weekly or fortnightly later - no lock-ins.

6 Can I choose what goes in my box?

Yes, you can exclude up to 3 items and substitute with others when you add to cart - the deadline is Sunday 10am.

You can also build your own box from our seasonal range. Click 'Shop', then 'Build Your Box' at the top of the page.

7 How do I log in?

Click the account icon on desktop (top navigation) or open the side menu on mobile and tap “Log in.” Once you are logged in. on the homepage, you should see 'Profile' with your initials beside it.

8 I cannot log in. What now?

Use the same email you checked out with. If you are unsure, email support@farmermates.com and we will help.

9 How do I manage my subscription?

From your account you can skip a week, pause, change box size, switch frequency, update address or payment, and cancel anytime. We also email you 24 hours before renewal with a direct manage-link.

10 What is the cut off for changes?

Make changes before Sunday 10am for the coming week. Renewals run on the day you first ordered.

11 Can I skip this week?

Yes! Head to your account and hit “Skip” or “Pause.” If it’s after the cut-off, you can gift your box to a friend or email us and we’ll try our best to help.

12 Can I change my delivery day?

Unfortunately not yet. We schedule suburb delivery days together to lessen carbon emissions and keep deliveries more efficient.

13 What if I am not home?

No worries. Our driver will leave your box in a safe spot (you can add notes at checkout or in your account). On hot days we include ice packs and keep things chilled right up to delivery.

14 Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

We don’t - fresh produce needs a real-world doorstep. Home, work, a neighbour, or concierge are great options.

15 Is the packaging eco friendly?

We use sturdy recyclable cartons and keep plastic to a minimum. Where possible we reuse materials, and we’re trialling more recyclable and compostable chill options, too.

16 Something arrived damaged or wrong. What should I do?

We are so sorry - that is not our standard. Take a quick photo and email support@farmermates.com. We will replace or credit your order.

17 I asked to remove an item but it was packed anyway.

Thanks for letting us know! Please send a photo and your order number to support@farmermates.com and we will fix it.

18 I asked for more of an item but did not get it.

Removals are guaranteed; extras depend on harvest and stock. If we have enough, we’ll pack them - if not, we’ll include the best seasonal alternatives.

19 I am not using everything each week. Any tips?

Totally normal! Try a smaller box or switch to fortnightly. You can also pause a week to catch up. We’re currently working on simple recipes and storage tips - watch your Monday emails for these.

20 Where can I find the weekly packing list?

Every Tuesday, we will keep you posted on our Instagram page on the box contents for the following week. Otherwise, you can also check the website (Shop->Our Boxes) and see 'This Week's Box Includes' in each box product page.

21 How often can I change my order?

As often as you like - just make edits before the cut-off. Our subscriptions are flexible so your box fits your week, not the other way around.
